Job Opening: Close Protection Officer / Driver – Jakarta, Indonesia


We are currently seeking a professional, adaptable, and dependable Close Protection Officer to join a highly integrated, multicultural team operating in the area of Jakarta. This role offers a unique combination of responsibilities: while your primary function will be to provide close protection services, you must also be prepared to serve as a dedicated driver on assignments where personal security presence is not required.

The ideal candidate is not only trained and experienced in close protection but also possesses excellent judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a well-established multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional close protection services in accordance with client needs, threat assessments, and operational security protocols.
• Perform secure and confidential driving duties, including advance route planning, threat scanning, and vehicle readiness checks.
• Conduct site surveys and risk assessments ahead of movements or events.
• React effectively to potential threats or incidents, using sound judgment and already established SOPs.
• Ensure strict confidentiality regarding client identity, location, routines, and all sensitive information.
• Maintain accurate operational reporting and documentation of incidents or irregularities.
• Assist in the coordination and logistics of secure transportation and planning.
• Collaborate effectively within a multinational, high-trust team with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
• Operate independently when required, demonstrating excellent communication, decision-making, and accountability.

Requirements:

• Certified Close Protection Training from a recognized institution is required. While we are open to a range of certifications, preference will be given to programs and qualifications we are familiar with and trust based on past operational standards.
• Minimum age of 27 years at the time of application.
• A valid Category B driver’s license.
• Comfortable and experienced with left-hand traffic.
• Documented medical or first responder training, such as EMT, First Aid, or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), completed within the last two years.
• A clean criminal record from your country of origin or residence.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Additional language skills are advantageous, particularly Bahasa Indonesia or regional languages.
• Must possess strong personal and professional characteristics, including:

  • Adaptability to rapidly changing situations
  • Strong situational awareness and risk perception
  • Professional integrity, even under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior operational experience in Southeast Asia or other comparable environments with similar logistical, cultural, or security challenges.
• A relevant background from the military, law enforcement or private security, with demonstrated experience in protective operations, tactical planning, or high-risk assignments.
• Familiarity with cross-cultural environments and the ability to adapt quickly to local customs, languages, and protocols.
• Experience in client-facing roles that require discretion, professionalism, and high situational awareness.
• Solid understanding of protective driving, threat detection, and conflict de-escalation techniques.

Compensation:

• Starting Salary: The starting salary will be not less than USD 4,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.In addition to the base salary, the position includes comprehensive benefits such as housing allowance, transport, health insurance, and paid vacation up to 3 weeks.
• There will be an opportunity for salary negotiations after 3 months based on performance and mutual agreement.

Additional Notes for Selected Candidates:

If selected for the position, you must be prepared to:

• Initiate the visa and work permit process, including submission of documents required by Indonesian authorities.
• Undergo and complete mandatory security training and other evaluations in Indonesia.
• The company will assist with the above.
