INSTRUCTOR

Being a SIRAS ACADEMY instructor is a highly coveted position. The instructor training will provide the new instructor with the knowledge and tools to become a highly skilled teacher. As an Instructor you must be prepared to constantly update your knowledge and skills. It is important that you are willing to acquire the operational experience which is a requirement for our Instructors.

The instructor training is open to everybody regardless of background and experience. We would, however, point out that our instructors only teach subjects in which they are trained experts and operationally experienced.

The training is divided into 3 modules.

Price: 4,700 EUR for all 3 modules (price can vary and depends on duration of module 2)

Module 1 – Close protection training

The instructor candidate participates in a 14-day close protection course along with the regular students. We require the instructor-to-be to experience being a student to make sure that he fully acknowledges the effort of our regular students, and to ensure that the candidate has an in-depth knowledge of how SIRAS courses are run.

Module 2 – Teaching principles and management

Educational principles and leadership Course description This module deals with the teaching skills you need to possess to work as a SIRAS instructor.Besides the teaching principles the candidates will learn different tools for planning and management. Candidates will also receive additional training in security related matters.

Purpose
To provide the candidate with the knowledge, skills and culture, that enable him to work as an instructor at future SIRAS ACADEMY courses.

Price: 3.300,- EUR

Module 3 – Instructor skills

The candidate will serve as an assistant instructor and observe how the senior instructors teach the courses. The candidate will participate in the practical preparation for a bodyguard course. During the course the candidate will be monitoring the other students and together with the instructors give feedback on lessons. Prior to the course the student will prepare lessons and during the course he will be teaching these lessons. This process will develop the candidate’s knowledge of the close protection field from the instructor’s standpoint, and further develop his personal teaching skills.

Purpose
To test and improve the candidate’s teaching skills and guide him within planning, organizing and executing lessons.
